Roblox “Kicked by Server Please Rejoin” Fixed

Roblox Kicked by Server Please Rejoin

Roblox’s online community allows you to take part in games or “experiences” created by other users. But sometimes you run into certain problems on the server. One of the more common issues is the Roblox error 268, which says “Kicked by Server Please Rejoin.” But why does this happen? And how can you fix it?

You can prevent the “Kicked by Server Please Rejoin” error from occurring by ensuring the game is compatible with your computer’s OS. Additionally, you can try to fix this issue by deleting temporary files and other cache files. If the problem persists, you can try reinstalling the game.

In this article, we are going to go over the many reasons why you may encounter this particular error in Roblox. We will also discuss, in more detail, the tricks you apply to fix this problem from recurring in the future.

Why Does Roblox Keep Kicking You Out of Server?

Let’s first look at why the game might be kicking you out. For several reasons, the game may kick you out of its server. Once it does, you will see a notification window pop up. It will present the following message – you have been kicked due to unexpected client behavior. After this message appears, you have no choice but to leave the game and try again.

Here are some of the common reasons that can cause this issue:

Issue with Compatibility

To run any software on your computer, it has to be compatible with the computer’s operating system or OS. And the same applies to Roblox as well.

People who use an older version of their operating system encounter this problem frequently. Because the game is incompatible with their current OS, the game keeps crashing. As a result, the player is kicked from the server. Fortunately, this compatibility issue can be fixed. And you do not need to resort to upgrading your OS to accomplish this.

Internet Connection is Slow

This is a common problem you may encounter when playing games online. Online games, such as Roblox, require a constant connection to the internet. If the connection is disrupted even for a few seconds, then the server immediately kicks you out. So, the issue could be with your internet service provider rather than the game or your hardware.

The Issue can also arise if your internet connection is too sluggish. As a result, the game will lose its connection to the server and will kick you out.

Using a Proxy Network

So, many games do not allow you to play them through the use of any proxy network. This can be in the form of a VPN or a proxy site. If the game detects that you are violating this rule, it will remove you from the game, and show you the “Kicked by Server Please Rejoin” error.

Suspicious Activity Detected

Roblox does allow its users a great degree of freedom. But it also needs to regulate user behavior. Otherwise, certain players may exploit this freedom and harm the overall experience of the game. This sort of detection helps to prevent things such as hacking or phishing.

So, if the game detects any suspicious activity from your account, it will likely remove you from the game immediately.

Too Much Traffic

Any server has its limitations. There is a maximum number of accounts that can access a particular server simultaneously. In Roblox, the average server can host up to 50 players. There are also 100 player servers. These servers, as the name suggests, can house 100 players at once.

So, if the server you are trying to connect to is overcrowded or has reached its maximum capacity, you will fail to join it. If the server fills up the moment you are trying to enter then, it will likely remove you and show you this error message.

Problem with the Server

Sometimes, the issue is not located at your end. Rather, the server experiences a glitch that may prevent you from accessing it.

How to Fix “Kick by Server” in Roblox?

Now that you know the problems, let’s discuss the ways to solve them. Here, we will go through each problem and come up with a solution for them:

Reload the Game

As we have already discussed, the problem may be a one-off thing. In these cases, you do not need to do anything fancy. Simply close the browser and load the game again. If everything is fine, this should load you onto a server without any trouble. But if that does not work, you can try the following methods:

Change the Game’s Compatibility

So, the Roblox player has to be compatible with your computer’s current OS. And you can change this property by going through these steps:

  • Right click on your Roblox player icon.
  • Go to “properties”.
  • On the top section, you will see the option for “Compatibility”. Select it.
  • Check the box that says “Run this program in compatibility mode for”. If it is already checked, you do not need to change it.
  • From the drop-down menu right below, select the version of Windows you want for this game. It should be your computer’s current version.
  • Under the settings headline, check the box that says “Run this program as administrator”. This is an additional step to ensure that your program runs smoothly.
  • Click on Apply.
  • Then click on Okay.
  • Now, go back to the Roblox player icon and right click on it again.
  • Select “Troubleshoot Compatibility”.
  • From the resulting window, select “Try recommended settings”. Here, your operating system will try to apply the changed compatibility setting and fix the problem.
  • Then select “Test the program”.
  • If the issue is fixed, you will be able to launch the game from now on.

Clear Out Temporary Files

Temporary files are various data files that pile up on your computer as you continue to play the game. If you leave it as it is, these files may cause the game to crash. So, here is how you can clear these files:

  • Press windows+R on your keyboard. This should open the Run program on your computer.
  • Now, type in  %Temp%\Roblox and press ok.
  • Select all the cache files and press delete.

Clear Out the App Data

App data are similar to the temporary files. They can also cause the game to lag or crash.

  • Press windows+R on your keyboard. This should open the Run program on your computer.
  • Now, type in %appdata% and click on ok. A folder will open up.
  • In the URL field of that folder, click on the headline that says “AppData”.
  • Now, click on “Local”.
  • From here, search for the folder for Roblox. It should be named Roblox in the registry.
  • Once you open the Roblox folder, you will find various XML documents and CFG files. Select them all and press delete.
  • Now, restart your game.

This should allow you to launch the game without any issue and will not kick you out of it after a while. Make sure that your internet connection is safe and stable. And do not use any proxy network to access the game.

Reinstall the Game

This is sort of like the last ditch effort to get the game working. If you are unable to stay on the server even after trying the previous fixes, you should uninstall the Roblox player software from your computer. Afterward, install it again and try to play.

After you have installed it, make sure that the game is in compatibility mode with your computer. You can follow the exact same steps mentioned previously to change the compatibility settings. Also, make sure that your internet connection is stable and that you are not using any proxy site to play the game.

Sometimes, the problem is with the Roblox player. So, reinstalling the game at that point is the only option to try to fix it.

How Can You Rejoin a Roblox Server You Have Been Kicked from?

Typically, when you exit a particular server in Roblox, you cannot go back. You have to start over again and join a new server to play the game. But there are a couple of exceptions to this.

If you have at least one friend on the previous server, you can simply join them. This will automatically add you to that same server. Of course, your friend still needs to be active on that server when you are trying to rejoin.

You can also manually search for the servers. This sounds a bit challenging. And if the game you are playing is very popular, then it will be a very taxing effort. But if it is a small game with limited servers active, then you should be able to find it after a while. All you have to do is click on “servers” from the game’s menu.

A more optimized approach would be to do this with an app. RoSearcher is a chrome extension that allows you to join any server without needing a friend to be on it. All you will require for this method is to know the profile of at least one of the players. If the server is not full already, you will be able to join it with no problem.
