Despite initial shortages, the PlayStation 5 is still one of the hottest consoles in the market right now. And given how massively popular Roblox is, with its free-to-play sandbox features, it’s only natural to wonder if you can play it on your PS. So, the question is, can you play Roblox on PS5?

You can’t download and play Roblox on PS5 natively because it is not on the PlayStation Store yet. You can try to use the console’s browser to access the Roblox website and play it from there, but your results may vary.

If you’re still itching to play Roblox despite the disclaimer, don’t worry; all hope is not lost. The process is not particularly complicated so let’s dive right in.

How to Play Roblox on PS5?

2. Once the console is on, press the PlayStation logo on your controller. Choose “Game Base” from the menu.
3. Pick any friend from your friends list and send them a message.
4. On the message, type “google.com” (without quotation marks) and send it.
5. Once the message is sent, the text becomes a hyperlink. Click the link to open the browser.

Getting the browser opened via messages is only half the battle. It may seem like a lot of steps, but this process is a lot easier than the other documented way: opening it via Settings and logging in to a Twitter account. Once you have the browser open (either via messages or settings), here’s how you can try to play Roblox on PS5:

1. Type “Roblox” on Google and click Search.
2. When the page loads, sign in to your account or create one if you don’t have one yet.
3. Once signed in, click on “Games” and select the one you wish to play.
4. Wait for that game’s page to load, then click the green button with the play icon.
5. A prompt will appear, asking you to download and install the game. Follow the instructions and wait for the installation to finish.

From here, you should be able to launch and play Roblox through the console’s browser. However, there are some reports of this process not working. Instead of launching the game, some users got the “Your current platform is not supported” error.

If you’re one of the unlucky players who get the error, your only option would be to wait for the game’s official release on the PlayStation store. Keep in mind that using Remote Play to get Roblox running will not work. Remote Play works by streaming the game from your PlayStation to your mobile device, not the other way around.

From here, the Roblox website should load on the browser. Follow the same steps as earlier: log in or create an account, select a game, and follow the instructions for installation. If successful, you should be able to play Roblox on PS4, albeit on its browser.

Is playing Roblox on the PS4’s browser a good idea? If you truly have no other options, it’s worth a try. Keep in mind that performance may be severely degraded because it’s not meant to run on a non-PC browser.
